Dr. Carreras specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life stressors. He has a special interest in somatic medicine, focusing on the mind-body connection in both physical and emotional symptoms. His therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). He is licensed in the states of Mississippi and Louisiana. He is also licensed as a medical psychologist in Louisiana. In addition to his private practice work, Dr. Carreras works as a medical and pediatric health psychologist in New Orleans.
