Needing the help of another is one of the most challenging and worthy tasks we face in life. To need help risks exposing brokenness and opening doors to those most shameful experiences where great effort has been made to remain hidden. The hope of the work of therapy, however, is in transforming our shame into acceptance, stuckness into movement, and self-distortion into alignment with our truest selves. I am continually developing my way of listening from an ear oriented toward my patient's private and lesser known inner worlds, and have a deep belief in the potential for change that comes in facing these unknown places together. I listen to my patients from an ear attuned to their unconscious experience, that which sits below the surface of the problems that initially brought them in to the work. In the therapy space, I will guide you in bringing to light the unique and often lesser noticed experience of your person, leading to deeper insight and integration of self.
