Hello, I'm Dr. Kendal Humes. I earned my Doctorate in Professional Counseling and M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Mississippi College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (CO, OK, and AZ), a Licensed Addiction Counselor (CO), a Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor (AZ), a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (MS), a Substance Use Disorder Professional (WA), and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA). In addition, I am a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, and a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional. I operate from a 'tough love' therapeutic approach in my work. This means I encourage individuals to explore their irrational beliefs, dysfunctional emotions and behaviors, and the concepts of self-awareness, accountability, and 'unfinished business.'
