I believe the ideal therapist is a combination of nurturing and straightforward, and this is what I strive to embody in my work. In other words, I am sensitive and compassionate as I know life can be extremely painful and challenging. At the same time, I make every effort to "keep it real" with my patients. I try to point out things about themselves that may be difficult to hear, as sometimes this is the only way we can grow. I always maintain an emotionally supportive and environment, but you can also trust that I will be honest with you about what I'm thinking. For training, I have a doctorate degree where I studied psychodynamic psychotherapy. Then, I completed further training to become a psychoanalyst. In sum, I have over a decade of specialized education and training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My training combined with my desire to connect with and help others allows me to offer high quality services.
