About
My clients often come to therapy with a desire to change something in their lives that is causing distress or interfering with goals. This may be troublesome thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, or stressful life circumstances. Through our work together, you can achieve relief and more confidently manage depression, anxiety, anger, substance use, grief, relationship conflict, and life transitions. I have a special interest in supporting clients building families with children and am certified in perinatal mental health. In addition, I have extensive experience supporting those adjusting to and managing medical conditions. I've worked in medical and mental health settings as therapist, supervisor, and researcher. I will be an active, empowering, and genuine participant in your therapy, and you can expect to deepen self-knowledge, make new meaning of experiences, and practice healthy alternatives to patterns of thinking and behavior that no long serve you.
