Hello, my name is Dr. Norma Owens Hixon. I hold a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Social Emotional Learning from National University and a Master’s in Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and have worked full-time in the Psychology Department at an inpatient mental health facility for the past 10 years. I specialize in working with both civil and forensic patients experiencing psychotic disorders, mood disturbances, situational crises, and other significant mental health challenges.
