You've put some effort into getting to this site so let me help. I've been working with people in crisis for over 30 years, the first 5 of them in an Emergency Room, later moving to do family work on an inpatient psychiatric unit. I teach other therapists now the importance of empathy in working with people struggling with anxiety, addiction, depression and in crisis.
