About
Children's Corner: Art Therapy for Children practice has been in business since 2004, serving children and their families in the greater, south Florida area. Dr. Peg Dunn-Snow is a Fulbright Scholar, past- president of the American Art Therapy Association, and a licensed art therapist and mental health counselor. She has received post-graduate training in trauma and SandTray therapies. Dr. Dunn-Snow sees students, age 6 and older, with a variety of presenting problems, including developmental delays and trauma, as well as grief and loss issues. When Words are Not Enough, art therapy is a treatment model based on strengths and interests to address concerns. Conducted through art-making and story-telling, art is seen as a language and viewed as self-talk, bringing insight and changes to beliefs and behaviors, while empowering children beyond treatment sessions.
