My name is Dr. Detrie and I am glad you are looking to start your journey for growth and improvement. Knowing where to begin can be hard, but the first step is recognizing that something in your life needs to change. I am a licensed, nationally registered clinical psychologist. I started Sea Glass Psychological Services because I am passionate about helping individuals overcome the challenges of life. I believe people are like sea glass: sometimes we go through things in life that can break us, leaving rough, jagged edges. We may no longer feel whole or useful in the way we once were. Like life, the ocean can tumble and toss what is left around, sending us adrift. While that glass may not be the whole as it once was, it is through the breaking and trauma of the ocean that something new and beautiful is created. Life can be hard.
