The issues for my ideal client would be a client dealing with internal self conflict (intrusive thoughts, anxiety, depression, grief, meaninglessness) and interpersonal relationships. Their needs: learning to identify erroneous thought patterns, reframing those patterns and implementing new behavior associations. This client would want to better understand and manage themselves as well as develop and maintain healthy relationships.
