I am the Clinical Director of the "Leonard DeFilippo Project," an Flexible Assertive Community Treatment program supporting individuals with severe psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, who have not benefited from traditional 1-time a week treatment-as-usual. Our approach follows the relational "recovery model," focusing on reaching remission rather than symptom management, which is more common in Nevada. Additionally, we offer the "Midnight Hour Light" program, an after-hours therapy service designed to assist those whose symptoms worsen at night when the distractions of the day are no longer present. I specialize in cases where neurodevelopmental disorders, such as ADHD and Autism diagnosed before age 12, act as biological predispositions for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. While this is my focus, I also have experience treating a wide range of mental conditions. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with extensive expertise in diverse conditions.
