In my 40 plus years as a mental health care provider, I have found that regardless of how skilled a clinician I may be, I am only effective when I have successfully developed a working relationship with my clients. This relationship is key to addressing issues, providing encouragement, and enhancing the client's personal motivation. To make the necessary changes in thinking, beliefs and behavior, I work together with my clients to bring about about their desired goals. My areas of focus are anxiety and depressive disorders, treatment of trauma, and marital and family issues.
