I am accepting new clients within 2-3 weeks. I specialize in working with helping professionals. It’s important to fill your own cup before pouring it out into the cups of others. I am acutely aware of the nuanced difficulties ingrained into our helping roles: burnout, imposter syndrome, vicarious trauma, boundary struggles, perfectionism, a drift towards isolation at the end of a day, the week, or over longer periods, etc. A challenge inherent to the helping professions is that is our work is ongoing. Secondary trauma always has the potential to creep into our personal lives, or burst through our carefully constructed guardrails. I have taken post-graduate trainings in Internal Family Systems therapy (Level 2) and narrative therapy. I tend to incorporate aspects of IFS and narrative therapy and blend them together into most sessions. I am passionate and enthusiastic about approaches to therapy which are non-pathologizing and position the client as the expert of their lives.
