Dr. Spector is a licensed psychologist with expertise in helping children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group therapy. Dr. Spector has a comprehensive knowledge of video games, computer games, smart phones, and the Internet. He has helped many clients change how they use technology. Media appearances focusing on the healthy use of technology include: Good Morning America, NPR's the Diane Rehm Show, NBC4 and Fox5 News, Matter of Fact with Solidad O'Brien, Bethesda Magazine, and Voice of America. Dr. Spector has been helping patients with compulsive technology use for over 10 years. He has developed an integrative approach that draws from strategies and techniques used both for substance addictions and compulsive eating. Dr. Spector’s treatment includes weekly communication with parents to inform and steer treatment.
