Regardless of your gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, etc... the roots from which your psyche forms all start in the same place. Every single human being's development starts within the sacred space of the attachment relationship between themselves and their primary caregiver. This attachment relationship is where we first develop our sense of safety and trust within the world, our relationships, and ourselves. The rest of life and its experiences are simply branches on the tree. My first step is always safety and trust, the rest is the neuroscience of processing, integration, and the evolution of the self. My therapeutic modalities most frequently used to help facilitate healing include EMDR, Play Therapy, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy.
