One of my deepest desires is to see changes and improvements in individuals. Life circumstances can cause individuals to develop maladaptive ways of coping. You learn how to create coping mechanisms over time that you believe are protectors from pain, but these faulty coping tools can become detrimental to your mental health and overall well-being. Have you experienced crises, traumas, abuse, neglect, rejection, social pressures, and violence that have caused you to develop dysfunctional ways to cope that are harming your mental health?
