If you’re feeling uncertain about whether to start therapy, you’re welcome here. So much of my work with clients is focused on getting to know the parts of us which have protected us for so long and who are understandably resistant to change. My work is based on the belief that people are generally doing the best they can with the knowledge and resources that they have. It’s important to me to honor the ways that even our “worst” coping skills have served us during painful times. I want to understand where you are in the present and learn more about what your goals are for the future. My approach is eclectic and tailored to the strengths and goals of each client. I frequently utilize interventions from S-FBT, DBT, MI, and EMDR. I have experience providing individual and group counseling and have worked with both youth and adults. I have a particular interest in working with folks in helping professions.
