My goal in working with patients is to provide a safe and calm environment to explore issues of concern to them. I understand that it is not always easy to speak about problems, but I believe that through careful listening and gentle inquiry, it is possible to begin to gain insight into feelings and behaviors. I very much respect the needs of each individual, and work in a way that recognizes that people have different ways of expressing themselves, and that it is critical to give people an opportunity to tell their own story in their own way, and in their own time.
