Welcome! I’m Ellie, a therapist in Denver specializing in trauma-informed care for women and queer folks with relationship trauma, anxiety, and high sensitivity. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where every client feels safe and seen. I tend not to make promises in therapy, but here are two things I know to be true: you deserve to be well and no one has ever hated themselves into happiness. If you find it easier to be kind to others than to yourself or worry that people would be disappointed if they knew the "real" you, let's talk. Together, we'll cultivate the self-compassion you need to heal and thrive. My approach is person-centered, meaning I use techniques from various psychological disciplines to tailor my work to fit each client’s needs. I am EMDR-trained and enjoy using this modality with clients whose trauma symptoms compromise their daily life or sense of self. I also utilize internal family systems (IFS) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
