Therapy should be a space where we can be curious about your internal world and the impact of your identities, external systems, and relationships on it. Working with me would mean examining the connection between past and present, attachment patterns or wounds, coping and defense mechanisms, and how trauma manifests in your body. I encourage exploration of meaning and origins of behaviors, and often incorporate ‘parts work’ to help break down the ‘why’ and address the shame often attached to them. When appropriate, I also blend EMDR or other somatic practices into our work.
