A belief I hold closely is that you can’t know yourself by yourself. It is a sincere privilege to be “the other person” as clients discover and uncover new, hidden or forgotten facets of themselves. I’ve done that in corporate, nonprofit and entrepreneurial settings, but there is nothing that lights me up more than to partner with others in the context of therapy. I particularly love working with clients who have never been to therapy and clients who are skeptical about the process. It’s good to ask questions and be honest about your point of view. And it’s essential that you have - or be willing to have - an open mind.
