I see children, adolescents and young adults who are told they are mature for their age, perceptive and sensitive. Externally they may be a pleasure to be around but internally they are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism and emotional shut down. They seem fine until they aren't. They cannot tolerate what they feel and every decisions feels like an emergency with a right and wrong answer, they struggle to separate from you and meltdown with aggression. Symptoms show up somatically with a stomach ache or trouble sleeping and in worst cases through chronic pain.
