My ideal client has a variety of mental health challenges. They may be based on trauma, abuse, neglect, addiction and substance abuse, struggles with self-worth, relationship issues and difficulty coping with life. Their needs include listening, acknowledging, recognizing and validating their thoughts and feelings. Through therapy they can obtain coping mechanisms. The goals include understanding and managing emotions, anxiety, depression, healing from trauma and finding relief from overwhelming feelings. Clients seek to obtain a greater understanding of themselves, stabilize emotions, improve daily life and relationships.
