I'm Erika, and I came to this work through a childhood surrounded by mental health conversations. With parents in the field, I grew up understanding that everyone has an inner world worth exploring. But it wasn't until I worked with chronically ill children and young adults that I truly understood resilience. Watching young people face daily medical battles while refusing to be defined by them taught me about the human capacity for hope. Originally from New York, my training there exposed me to incredible cultural and ethnic diversity, shaping how I connect with people from all backgrounds.
