About
Counseling varies depending on the personality of both the therapist and the client and the particular problems that you may be experiencing. I want to help you address the problems you hope to address. Often this includes building skills to: reduce feelings of distress, improve relationships, communication with others, and/or to resolve difficult personal issues. In order for therapy to be most successful, you will be asked to work on things we talk about both during our sessions and at home. During counseling, sometimes a client may experience uncomfortable feelings such as sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, and frustration. These feelings are a natural part of the process, need to be discussed, and often indicate progress in a positive direction, even though they may feel uncomfortable at the time.
