I am a psychotherapist with over 45 years experience treating adults, adolescents and couples. Sometimes people need help with concerns such as marital conflict, extended family discord, parenting or simply navigating life transitions. Persistent feelings of lowered self-esteem, a pattern of disappointing romantic relationships, conflict with others, addictions, anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive behaviors can best be helped with psychotherapy. The initial goal is to heighten your awareness of behavior patterns that hamper your ability to relate successfully to others and improve your self-esteem. Through a caring relationship I encourage and help you to think about your thoughts and feelings. My interventions are in the service of helping you to reflect on your ideas; how they came to be and how well they serve you now. Our non-judegemental relationship is meant to be therapeutic in promoting greater reflective and emotional capacity.
