Experienced as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I believe that psychological development continues throughout life and that effective therapy is forward-looking. Therapy not only offers opportunities to relieve symptoms of distress and to recover from maladaptive patterns of functioning, but it offers chances for new beginnings. I believe that effective treatment is based on an understanding of the unique circumstances of an individual, respects the need for confidentiality, and fosters a collaborative effort that facilitates psychological development.
