About
As a professional therapist I have worked with ages as young as 10 through to the more senior ages. I have provided mental health counseling including individual, group and family therapy. Some presenting issues that I have experienced include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, relationship problems, family conflict, mood and personality disorders, codependency, domestic violence, and self esteem. My background as both a community mental health counselor and a sociologist of 30 years have given me a unique perspective into understanding my clients' presenting problems. I use various approaches to treatment including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples.
