I specialize in helping teens and adults with autism and/ or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), and I’ve worked with patients with histories of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe that much psychological distress comes from gaps in our understanding of ourselves and others and that meaningful therapy is a process by which client and therapist think together to expand awareness and fill in those gaps. This can look like learning the “invisible” rules of social relationships, discovering our abilities to use emotional-regulation skills, or coming to know parts of ourselves that we’ve felt were not safe to know.
