I help patients to recognize their strengths, develop compassion for their challenges, and show them the skills to help achieve their goals. I know that vulnerability and transparency are difficult for many, so every encounter should begin by building an alliance and creating a safe environment. As a licensed professional clinical counselor, I help with academic issues, anxiety, depression, family conflict, life transitions, PTSD, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, and sexual assault. My trauma-informed approach is collaborative, culturally appreciative, and cognitive-behavioral based. I understand that humans experience feelings and thought patterns that may contribute to internal conflict. I aim to help patients process these emotions and create new thought patterns that can help them become the healthiest versions of themselves.
