Long experience has familiarized me with the many ways in which people surrender to fear and anxiety, remain stuck in unhappy memories, repeat self-defeating behaviors, and forget how to love and be loved. People who contact me for an appointment are typically struggling with serious and painful personal difficulties. These can range from lifelong burdens to family crises, often with a tangled history; rarely has an acute problem dropped into an otherwise happy life. My patients would like to see major changes in their lives. With that in mind, I work as rapidly as circumstances allow, but with empathy and flexibility.
