About
I was a high school guidance counselor in the Bronx, comfortable in my role, when the pandemic hit. Suddenly everyone was struggling - students, parents, teachers, everyone. I watched people desperately need someone to talk to about more than college applications and course schedules. That's when I knew academic guidance wasn't enough. I shifted to mental health counseling because people needed real support in their daily life, not just advice about their futures, Those years in schools taught me how life actually works outside therapy rooms.
