My ideal client would most likely be a female teenager working through peer relationships, self-esteem, and social anxiety. With this client, I believe some of her needs would be to explore core beliefs of who she is in comparison to what others may say/think of her, cognitively challenging and reframing intrusive/negative thought patterns, and slowly expose the client to social scenarios in which she can use her coping skills to effectively navigate new situations. As a therapist specializing not only in working with adolescents but also with women's issues, peer relationships, self-esteem, and anxiety, I believe I would be a great fit for this client. Rather than following one therapeutic approach for all clients, I enjoy catering my therapeutic modalities to the needs of the client.
