About
As a kid, I remember being scared. I was scared people didn’t like me, scared to fail, scared to hurt someone else’s feelings. On the outside, I had it all together. On the inside, I was scared and anxious. When my life began to crumble, I sat with a counselor who made me feel safe, seen and known, and it changed everything. She saw the difficult parts and the wonderful parts of me and held it all. It is so important to me that someone feels safe in my office. Safe to share the parts of their story that no one else knows. Safe to explore the joys and struggles of life. Safe to grieve the harms that have been done to them or by them. My therapeutic approach is full of empathy and practical solutions, all the while maintaining a trauma lens. While trained in CBT, IFS and EFFT, I tailor my approach based on the needs of the person in front of me. . I work primarily with women who are struggling with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, parenting issues and life transitions.
