About
I think therapeutic relationships work best when there is a foundation of emotional safety. Upon this foundation many things are possible, including understanding ourselves and others with greater depth and clarity, tolerating discomfort for growth, and allowing for our natural ability to heal. There are many good reasons to come to therapy, including distressing feelings of guilt or worry that something is wrong with you, feelings of emptiness, unexplained emotional pain, the loss of a loved one or important relationship, the wish to thrive more, or feeling unequipped to address life's problems. I help couples, adults, and adolescents deal with anxiety, relationships, troubled self esteem, conflict/conflict avoidance, intimacy, attachment security, codependence, people pleasing, understanding emotions, identities and intersectionality, complex relational trauma, and feelings of guilt, anger, and fear, among other issues.
