Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. Growth and Empowerment is accepting new clients! View 4 Photos Our practice has experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, groups, kids and families that have experienced trauma. Trauma is different for every person from sexual abuse to losing a loved one to being yelled at as a young child. The approach we take is creating a warm, safe place for our clients to be heard and validated.
