I have 30 years of experience helping clients deal with PTSD, depression and anxiety! I am a certified EMDR therapist, as well as an EMDR consultant. My specialty is trauma and PTSD. I am a certified schema therapist and a member of the schema therapy Institue of NJ. Trauma is often the underlying reason for depression and anxiety. Traditional talk therapy deals more on the cognitive level, whereas both EMDR and schema therapy help the client heal on the “affect” level. EMDR will help reframe what has happened and help the client see the experience in a different way. It will not erase your experience but, rather, prevent the trauma from ruling your life. The length of treatment will depend on the amount of trauma the patient has experienced. All treatment plans are tailored to meet the clients individual needs.
