Having struggled personally with anxiety, depression, loneliness, and shame, I understand the significance of self-compassion and forgiveness in overcoming mental health challenges. Mental health is not something we “cure,” it is an everyday practice. Because of this, I work well with client from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, bullying, conflict, and trauma. I strongly believe in meeting people where they are at, and I value the therapeutic relationship. In my practice, I use a humanistic approach that is tailored to my clients' strengths. My techniques are pulled from CBT, DBT, ACT and mindfulness strategies. I also provide education on the nervous system and how the human body reacts to different situations. I lean into a person centered approach and normalizing the human experience.
