I truly love helping people discover just how precious and important they are to the world around them. I do not like to see people suffer. I know what that feels like. I believe that the client has, within himself or herself, the ability to find his or her way to wellness when they are given the right person to accompany them on that way. Moreover, I have discovered that when the client is given the opportunity to safely explore his or her self and how they relate to the world around them that they arrive at healthier understandings how they exist in their worlds. When they do, they gain agency and the capacity to heal. My specializations are in addiction, grief, compassion fatigue, burnout, and family systems. I came into counseling drawn by a desire to be more capable in helping to provide care for those that are suffering from the impact of the events that all people are affected by, whether it be catastrophic loss or just the wear and tear of life’s struggles.
