Specializing in Mental Health & the Arts, I collaborate with both artists and working professionals whose creativity is impacted (for better or worse) by mental health, requiring particular clinical skills, as well as thoughtfulness. My role is also to guide patients through maladaptive patterns or various mental health issues with both integrity and respect. A good therapeutic working relationship reflects these values while upholding appropriate boundaries and confidentiality. Finding the right therapist is often a delicate, sometimes trying process but above all, you should feel safe and heard as you are the expert on your life. My training is in psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy with a relational slant. I believe empathy, trust, and humor all play crucial roles in treatment. Experience includes working with a range of psychosocial issues + diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, mood swings, personality disorders, trauma, manic depressive illness, and comorbid issues.
