As a Veteran of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom I understand the emotions, thoughts and experience of a person that has been deployed. I have spent 20+ years in the Alabama Army National Guard. I further understand the desire to maintain confidentiality and the desire to avoid bitter sting of stigma. I also understand the grief associated with the loss of a child and loss of close friends. Life is full of experiences that we all must endure. What we do with those experiences make us who we are and can influence the impact we have on the world around us.
