Heather has over 15 years of hospital social work experience working with patients with chronic and serious illness and at end-of-life. She also works with those dealing with grief, loss and bereavement, caregivers and healthcare professionals. Her experience includes a focus on older adults and she also has particular experience in supporting ill parents and guardians who have dependent children. Heather brings an empathetic and collaborative psychodynamic approach to her work with clients. Her practice is also trauma and sexual and gender diversity informed.
