About
Why does therapy work to change lives? The relationship with your therapist is key, and so is the therapist’s experience, skill, and training. I use the therapeutic methods best supported by research, in a warm, supportive environment. I have specialized training in exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I also offer therapeutic Writing Groups, online and in person. Email for information. Some clients opt for time-limited treatment (3-6 months) while others work with me long-term. I also offer intensive CBT (2-8 weeks) when possible. Some of my specialties include depression, anxiety disorders, body image issues, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and eating disorders, along with relationship and family issues. I frequently work with students, academics, and writers from Harvard, Boston University, Tufts, Lesley, and elsewhere.
