Clients who excel in counseling are willing to do the work, accepting of open communication, and motivated to continue through the therapeutic process even when experiencing difficulties. Clients often endure strains in interpersonal relationships which can be associated with substance use, life transitions, difficulty regulating emotions, relationships and much more. I work best with individuals who are looking to become comfortable with life’s challenges and regain their sense of self. I have experience working with many issues including substance use, domestic violence, and families who have experienced incarceration. My person-centered approach allows me to support clients by creating individualized care. I use a combination of CBT / DBT, mindfulness, education, and building coping skills to manage trauma responses for those I treat.
