Parenting a child with baffling and challenging behaviors can be lonely and isolating. When I adopted my own children, I just wanted to be a mom. I thought that love was enough. The reality is, these children have suffered enormous loss and trauma and often display challenging behaviors. I am blessed that I am able to walk alongside families on their path to healing and share what I have learned. I have been a pediatric critical care nurse for 19 years. I have spent my career helping children and their families during what was most likely one of the most challenging and stressful times in their lives. I have a special interest in helping children and their caregivers on issues related to attachment, trauma, adoption, & neurodiversity. I feel that it is within healthy relationships that true healing can be found and therefore I work with caregivers and not just the child.
