I work with people who have learned to hide who they are or what they are feeling in order to have relationships. My hope is to build a "safe enough" client/counselor relationship in which all parts of you can feel welcome. The therapeutic relationship often mirrors other relationships in your life, so I may explore our relationship dynamics and communication as part of the therapeutic process. My main approach as a therapist is based in Awareness, Acceptance, and Accomodation. This means I'm not looking to fix you or stop bad feelings. I hope to support you in understanding who you are, accepting what that means for you, and making small changes in your life to support your unique brain in functioning well.
