My passion is helping women to regain a feeling of control and authorship in their lives. Too often as women, we expend so much energy trying to be the best worker/mother/partner we can be and end up putting our own needs at the bottom of the list. We may struggle with disempowering beliefs about ourself that we can't seem to break free from that undercut our true value and worth. We typically only come to therapy if we're hurting a great deal; though choosing to directly confront and sit with our pain can be difficult, it also has the potential to be truly transformative! My specialty is helping women tap into their inner strength and wisdom during life transitions, as well as treating Postpartum Depression/Anxiety and self-esteem issues. I also treat general mental health concerns in women such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. I utilize a combination of ACT, Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion and Empowerment Therapy.
