Welcome to Hope and Healing of Pinellas. As a Clinical Social worker with experience in medical and hospice settings, I specialize in helping those affected by sudden loss, grief, illness, and addiction. In our grief-avoidant society, it can be a struggle finding people willing to support you. Here, you will find a welcoming atmosphere to discuss your feelings openly. As a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist (www.griefrecoverymethod.com), I help clients move through loss and complete the "unfinished business" of a lost relationship. I am experienced with children, adolescents and adults. In addition to grief, I can assist clients coping with alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety. I am a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certified to perform substance abuse evaluations for DOT violations. View 4 Photos Traumatic grief, to me, is much different than the grief we envision most people going through. Suicide, homicide, accidental death, death due to addiction and overdose can carry some level of stigma. Therapists need to have additional training, as these fall outside of typical grief and loss.
