In eight years of psychotherapy work with children, adolescents, college students, adults, and families, I have found that unhealthy levels of stress can worsen problems related to self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and beyond. These issues often lead to additional problems at home, school, or work and ultimately affect relationships with friends and family.
