My background as a first-generation college student and later as a licensed psychologist in university counseling cemented a passion for working with adult individuals and couples who find themselves struggling while navigating the impact of life's difficulties. Clients who work with me will feel an empathic foundation to our work and feel authentically cared for, as I center a genuine and warm therapeutic relationship as a primary agent of change; a relationship that actively incorporates the holistic identities and experiences that embody the client's full story. In my practice, I incorporate an emotion-focused and interpersonal theoretical approach, each of which have strong research support for their effectiveness. Regarding special interests, I have a passion for working with couples with various presenting concerns and relationship types, and cherish working with the impact of grief in all its forms.
